Carson B. Johnson

Sperryville resident

Carson Beahm Johnson went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, at home with his family.

He was born September 11, 1925 in Rappahannock County, son of the late , Lawrence E. Johnson and Eva Beahm Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. He was stationed with the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers and also a Gliderman.

He was a life member of the 82nd Airborne Association.

He was a member of Sperryville United Methodist Church, a Master Mason of the Washington Masonic Lodge #78, a Royal Arch Mason of Fairfax Masonic Lodge #13, a Shriner with the Luray Cavern Shriner Club, and a charter member for numerous groups including: Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department, Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Sperryville V.F.W. Post #1150 and the Rappahannock Lion’s Club.

Mr. Johnson was also a ten-year member of the Virginia Defense Force, a member of the Sperryville
