ing new members to fund these raising projects. Our raffle fund raising technique has worked in the past and is still working this year; we have lately been selling tickets at the Rappahannock CO-OP on Saturdays and at the Rivers and Roots Festival at SunnySide Farm’s Market in Sperryville. These fund raising events help us to take field trips and do other club oriented activities. Some events we have participated in this year are a Swine weekend at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, where members learned about breeding, raising and other useful information about hogs. They also took part in a quiz bowl and came in third place. Atrip to the Culpeper COOFs feed mill was also taken, where we learned how our feed was processed, where it came from, and how it got to our farms.

The Culpfeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Fair will be held July 5-9 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. Our club members will be showing their Market Hogs on Tuesday, July 5 at 7 pm and Steers on
