Rose O
Oasis Winery’s new Rose O is going to be cause for celebration at Jamestown’s 400th anniversary. Releasing in 2005, it is a cuvee of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The sparkling wine comes from Salahi's favorite brut-the 1988 Celebration of Infinity. The only difference is that this one is finished in the rose style. Less than two hundred cases have been produced.
“This is by far the most prestigious spariding wine or champagne that has ever been produced not only in the Commonwealth, but in the world,” said Salahi who plans on serving it in 2007 when the Royal Family comes over to participate in the polo games.
He eagerly awaits the new season of “Polo, Wine, and Twilight Dine.” Salahi commented, “you have something that’s so beautiful, that preserves land, keeps the green, brings money and increases the tax base to the Commonwealth and also supports charity...if you ask for the best things that could happen in Virginia, we’re doing it.”
