Bawkey’s celebrated their
Golden Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Janies E. Bawkey of Rixeyville, Va. were honored with a surprise dinner party in celebration of their 50th anniversary on June 4, at the American Legion Hall in Orange, Va. The party was given by their son, Tim Bawkey, of Rixeyville, and their daughter, Diane Bawkey (Stacey) Kennon, of Locust Grove. Approximately 100 friends and family joined in the celebration. James Bawkey and the former Shirley Fincham were married on June 29, 1955 at the home of the late Rev. Koy Peterson. James and Shirley renewed their wedding vows with Rev. John Miller, of South Carolina, officiating.
In addition to their son and daughter, they have two granddaughters, Catherine Ann Stacey of Richmond, and Elisa Michelle Stacey of Dale City.
