Rappahannock County has another winery to claim as its own - Gadino Cellars which will be celebrating their grand opening soon. Oasis Winery owner Tareq Salahi, featured in this week's issue, has much to celebrate with the Supreme Court’s recent decision allowing direct wine shipments to consumers. Several wine aficionados in the county claim with great pride that Rappahannock County has some of the best soil for growing grapes in the country. With the number of award winners that surface each year from local wineries, it appears those claims are true.
