Among these were a demonstration of how solar energy works in a residence; the hands-on Farm-to-Tkble Program sponsored by Headwaters for the Rappahannock County Public Schools; model sustainable agriculture and forestry farming on Mount Vernon Farm; raising, training, and showing llamas for fun and profit; and lead sponsor Sunnyside’s efforts “to create certified organic, high quality tasty, nutritionally-rich food while promoting a healthy ecosystem and biodiversity.”

Music, of course, was the principal draw of the event. And music there was—from country-western to popular, to band, to blues, and traditional folk music. There were local- groups such as Brian Taylor and Hollowbound. Taylor is a Rappahannock County High School graduate and the group are devotees of original bluegrass. Aplus with its unique mixture of original heartfelt songs by Alice Reeve and Tbm Guidice; ''the Walnut Ridge Boys; Tbuch of Gr§yBand with Debbie Zinn; and the Rappahannock County High School Band and its popular new Jazz Ensemble were also among the local talent..
