Rappahannock County on what is now Gadino Cellars, with a concentration on reds which they began to sell to Gray Ghost Vineyards in Amissville in 1993.

That venture introduced the Gadino's to Tbm Payette, who used to be winemaker at Prince Michell near Charlottesville. Payette has been working with the Gadino's for their 2004 harvest which includes Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sunset White, which is a delicate blend that was inspired by the sunsets just over the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Grand opening

Almost a year has passed since ground was first broken, building a wine cellar 10-feet into a hillside as the foundation to the Gadino Cellars building and business.
