Water and Sewer Authority, and the Sperryville Cemetery. Mr. Johnson recently retired from Rappahannock Home Mutual Fire Insurance Company.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Aline Brown, a devoted son, C.B. Jr. and his wife, Carol whom he thought of as a daughter, and the joy of his life, granddaughter, Mikayla Noel, two brothers, J.R. Johnson of Luray, VA and Allen D. Johnson of New Market, VA, four sisters, Dorothy Rector of Front Royal, Kate Partlow and Mary Clatterbuck both of Arlington and Louise Johnson of Luray.
Additional survivors include his wife’s two brothers and three sisters whom he considered his own and many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
A funeral service was held June 29, at Sperryville United Methodist Church with Rev. Merlin Shorb and Rev. Leah DeLong officiating.
Interment was followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
