the intersection of Viewtown and Forest Grove roads, a car struck a motorcycle head on. The car, a 2001 Chevy Cavalier driven by James T. Green of Hopewell, VA was in the oncoming lane when it struck Jerome T. Meehan of Rixeyville, sending the motorcycle driver over the hood and across the windshield. Meehan was able to pull the motorcycle off the road immediately after the accident, but was transported to Fauquier Hospital with minor injuries.
