John MacPherson
President Washington Hospitality and
Visitor's Association
Joan Ballard of R. H. Ballard's as secretary; and Laura Overstreet who is serving as an advisor. Other key players will be Tbm Gordon who will serve as the group's webmaster and Diane MacPherson who will handle marketing and communications.
John MacPherson commented that the group has discussed several ideas that they'd like to see come to fruition including local art walks and a regular farmer's market.
“Everyone is very enthusiastic and we're working well together,"added MacPherson who noted that the group would like to find a permanent office space that could provide a place for people to get information and perhaps get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat at the same time.
Regular monthly meetings rotate among Washington businesses. The next meeting is scheduled for July 17.
