The Dean’s List at the University of Mary Washington recognizes outstanding academic achievement by full time students who attain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 out of a possible 4.0 A total of 640 students were named to the Dean’s List for the 2005 fall semester.

Rappahannock students Dodd-Henze,a freshman from Woodville and Amber Troska a sophomore from Castleton, were among those honored.

The University of Mary Washington is a coeducational public institution with its residential campus in Fredericksburg, Va.

Kappa Delta Pi

The Mu Chi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, held their 2006 induction ceremony on April 2 at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Among those honored was Megan Cathleen Gore.

Megan is a senior at Texas A&M University, College of Education and Human Development, majoring in elementary education. She also is a manager at Champions Daycare, Inc.

She is the daughter of Milton and Linda Gore of 603 Gid Brown Hollow Road, Washington, Virginia and 8065 Lipscomb Road, Orange, Texas.

She is the granddaughter of the late Milton C. Gore, Sr. and the late Amy L. Gore of Washington, Virginia.
