He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ruby H. Smith of Amissville, cousins and many close friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15 from 7-9 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Parker and Rev. Ned S. Van Dyck. Interment will be at Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Henriette van Pelt-Bender, 84, of Woodville, died on Thursday, April 6, at home after a brief illness.
She was a citizen of The Netherlands and a resident of Rappahannock for the past 24 years,
following the death of her husband Pieter van Pelt. She was the much beloved mother and mother-in-law of Marijke G. and husband John H. Ford of Woodville and Hannie J. and husband Glen M. Ford of Montgomery Village, MOD.
She is survived by grandchildren Isabel, Fleurette, Jan, David, Frederika, Marla and Daniel and great grandchildren Will and Maddie
Interment was at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia on April 10.
