Your investment in shutters can be perceived as very highland one thinks of these as a piece of built in furniture. Plantation shutters are used often in homes with southern architecture, as they can almost look tropical. They work well in classic and traditional settings, as well as in some contemporary homes.
Whenever possible, mount a hard window treatment on the INSIDE of your window frames. It will give you a much more finished look and afford you more options if you choose to add another layer of drapery or top treatments to your window. Even if you have very odd shaped windows, octagonal, round, or a palladium window, products can be specially made to accommodate them.
