April 20: Relay for Life

Team Captains meeting

The third meeting of the Rappahannock County Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Team Captains will be held on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Everyone thinking about participating as a Ifeam Captain in the Relay, and anyone can do it, is invited to attend. The overall plans and preparations for the upcoming Relay will be discussed at this meeting. Team packages and information to help your team get started will still be available. This is the last meeting prior to Bank Night and the Relay. New teams are welcome until the day of the Relay (May 20). But team registration is critical if you want your team’s name on the t-shirt and to assure that your team will have the right size shirts. April 20: Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association meeting

The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its meeting on Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building at the comer of Davis Street and South West Street, Culpeper. All are invited to join in creating rhythm and music on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 from 6 - 7:30 at Sage, in the Rappahannock Wellness Center. It’s fun, easy, and different every time. Group drumming cam stimulate coordination, cooperation, greater listening skills, and has been scientifically proven to reduce stress. No experience necessary. All ages welcome. April 22: Third Annual

“Womanless Beauty Pageant”

The third annual “Womanless Beauty Pageant” will be on April 22 at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School, lb benefit Carolyn’s Live, Laugh, Love Relay for Life Team. Registration $10 talent competition (optional). Admission $5 per person 13 and up, $2 person 12 under and five and under, free. Help support the American Cancer Society for Life.
