Sharif speaks
The public is invited to a question and answer program with Mr. Faysal Y. Sharif, Arab/Muslim Consultant with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. This event will take place on Sunday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. You are also invited to hear about his work with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board at 9:45 a.m. and his testimony of how he converted to the Christian faith in the eleven o’clock morning worship service. Mr. Sharif was bom and raised a Muslim in Yemen. He is the founder and director of the “People of the Book Ministry” based in northern Virginia. From 1978 to 1998 his career involved him in an extensive broad-based profession in international management consulting services to both private and public sectors. He has worked with the US AID, the World Bernk, the government of Yemen and Hollands.
His work has taken him to 42 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East and North America. Fluent in English, Arabic and Swahili, Mr. Sharif is a graduate of the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and has earned an MBA in International Business from George Washington University of Washington, D.C.
