Public speaking workshop
A Public Speaking Workshop is scheduled for Sunday April 23 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Washington, Virginia. The workshop is taught by Julie Portma^ and sponsored by Ki Theatre. Julie is an award winning writer and actress who lives in Rappahannock County. In addition to performing she gives keynote addresses at conferences throughout the country. Workshop participants will learn how to deliver a compelling message and identify stories that have an impact on audiences. People will practice basic skills: how to connect with listeners, create an authentic presence and present a speech without the jitters.
Public Speaking skills are a great way to support and enrich your professional and volunteer work. No prior experience is necessary. Just bring an openness and desire to learn from one another. The fee is $75. Participants can register by calling Ki Theatre 540-937-3164 or emailing: lori@kitheare.com
