Burning Ban
Reacting to a recent trend of drought conditions and a recommendation by the Rappahannock County Fire and Rescue Association, the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors imposed a 60day ban on outdoor burning in Rappahannock County at their monthly meeting on April 3. The ban can be withdrawn inside the 60-day limit by order of County Administrator John McCarthy if the dry conditions end.
