A festival of gospel music will be held at the Theatre in Washington on April 29 from 3 to 6 p.m.
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community (RAAC) and the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation are co-sponsors of the event to benefit the planned Senior Center and Scrabble School Heritage Center.
“Local talent will be featured, refreshments will be available and we’ll even have a neighborhood social,” announced Claudia Mitchell, RAAC President. She commented that RAAC and the Foundation had worked together in January to bring to the “Second Friday Series” an informative program about the plans for the Scrabble School building.
