An editorial, by Sharon Kirkpatrick Terrorism It has been quite a month. First Flight 80 went down with all aboard in an explosion that was apparently caused by a bob or missile. Then a bomb exploded in Centennial Park in Atlanta, one of the few unsecured spots near the 100th modem Olympic Games. The only thing these two events have in common is the attempt on the part of some people or organizations to make sure Americans feel threatened. The attempt was successful. It is tempting to believe that in Rappahannock County we are safe from terrorism. Apart from the obvious fact that citizens from Rappahannock County are airline pilots and flight attendants as well as airline travelers and sports fans, this sense of security is misplaced.
