I This Sat is a very special event at The Blue ; Rock with Jeff Watson and Downtown Playing. > Before the Blues Brothers, before the Big Chill, ; before the Commitments, there was Downtown. ; Anticipating the resurgence of classic R&B and i the soul explosions of the 1960s, a group of tal! ented singers, musicians and songwriters estab; lished a musical powerhouse with a revolving • door. Through that door came musicians of every ! stripe who had two things in common: great talent ! and a love for soulful music. Their graduates real• ly went somewhere: A guitarist to the Eagles l (Stuart Smith), a bass player to Bruce I Springsteen (Jim Hanson), a drummer to Pink ; Floyd (Tim Biery). The rest of the band will be • playing at The Blue Rock this Sat. Cover is $10 I for ages 21 and over, $15 for under 21. Join us ; for “patio season” at the Blue Rock. All shows will • be out on the scenic patio, weather permitting. ' Shows start at 8:30 p.m. Great food, tasty bever] ages and good times for all. Come early for din; ner and stay late for great music.
