rmtertamment, oi course, is always a big draw at country carnivals and this year’s festival will feature the music and songs of the inimitable Richard Brady and his “Shenandoah Travelers” as well as Bob Chappell and his talented “1Gig Eclectic Blue Grass Band.”
The parade on Friday evening will see some 100 units, including a wide array of large and shiny fire engines, antique cars, tractors, and open convertibles with lovely young parade queens and little misses.
Saturday’s carnival will see the crowning of Miss Flint Hill and the selection of a number of Little Misses and Little Misters. Miss Rappahannock also is expected to make an appearance. There also will be a drawing for a black angus heifer donated by W.R. Welsh and Sons (or $500 in cash!) and the traditional drawing for the popular pickup truck—this year’s choice is a blue 2006 Chevy Colorado.
