Each month, newspaper editors, school principals, and Sheriff’s departments throughout Virginia receive a heavy, 50 page bulletin from the Virginia State Clearinghouse on Missing Children. The bulletin is a list of the names, identifying characteristics, and home counties of roughly 700 missing children, in fact of every child listed as missing in Virginia at the time the bulletin goes out. The lists Eire Eissembled and sent out by the clearinghouse to assist law enforcement agencies and educators with locating and identifying missing children.
