The five new branches have some $40 million in combined deposits. RNB President and CEO Mike Leake said RNB has some $90 million in total assets and $80 million in deposits. RNB will not be assuming any loans from the Provident branches.
“It’s opportunity and these are all markets that we’ve identified as growth markets,” Leake said. “It gives us a good start into these markets.”
Instead of serving just Rappahannock and Warren counties, RNB will have a presence in five counties in the region.
