RCHS Band “Best
Overall”.. ...Again
The RCHS bands traveled to New Jersey this spring to participate in regional adjudications with bands from other states. The following indudes excerpts of a report submitted by RCHS Band Director Matt Yonkey: ‘The schools Rappahannock competed against were from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The concert band won Best Overall (this is the third consecutive year our band has achieved “best overall” in regional adjudications), 1st Place and an Excellent Rating; beating all other concert bands by more than 20 points. Hie parade band won 1st place with a rating of Excellent. The jazz band won 3rd place and was 3.5 paints away from 1st place honors.” Congratulations!
