Reservoir news
Don Hearl of Environmental System Services addressed the council about problems with the switches that control the water level in the town reservoir.
The switches are currently being operated manually, because the controls are not properly sensing the reservoir’s water level.
Hearl suggested installing a phone line to carry a signal between the pump house and the reservoir.
Council members last month requested that Hearl come to this month’s meeting and explain why the older pump house is not working with the town’s relatively new reservoir. Hearl said former town leaders told his company that the pump house was simple and working properly, and they did not want the facility reviewed or altered in any way.
Council members voted to authorize a maximum expenditure of $1,000 to research the possibility of installing a phone line at the site.
