May 19: Great Spring Garden Party
This is the Fifth Annual Trinity Garden Party hosted this year by John and Barerty Sullivan. From 5-9 p.m. you can enjoy an evening of fine food, wine and music from the 30s and 40s will highlight the evening. All proceeds go to the Trinity Church Garden Club. Tax-deductible tickets are $100 per person. Space is limited. Contact Nancy Weitze at 987-8154.

Lace - Old and New
The Rappahannock Quilt Club will sponsor a show of new and antique quilts and a display of new and antique handmade lace on Saturday and Sunday , May 19 and 20 at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 10 Firehouse Lane, Washington, VA. Hours on Saturday, May 19th will be from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Hours on Sunday, May 20 are from noon to 5 p. m. There will be demonstrations of bobbin lace making, tatting, and various styles of quilting held during the show. A $5 donation is requested to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire & Rescue Tanker Fund.
