William Edward “Billy” Payne, 63, of Front Royal died Wednesday, May 9 at his residence.
Mr. Payne was born on January 12, 1944 in Woodstock, VA., son of the late Lester and Nannie Kendal Payne.
He was a retired plumber.
He is survived by two daughters, Leah Payne-Kim and Vicky Humphrey, three sisters, Haley Drummonds, Helen Hope and Carolyn Mitchell and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Robert “Bobby” Payne.
Pallbearers were Charles Drummonds, Wayne Drummonds, Lee Drummonds, Steve Hallman, Logan Tate and Scott Trichel.
Honorary pallbearers were Melvin Frazier, Chris Frazier, Allen Smoot, Gilbert Flint and Bo Kibler.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 14, at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal with Pastor Diann Whetzel officiating. Burial was followed in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
