Quilting isn’t the only art being showcased in this show. The I-aing family boasts two members who are keeping alive the dying arts erf- lace making Both Charlotte Laing and her daughter. Kathleen Hutcheson, are accomplished bobbin lace makers and practitioners of the art of tatting. They will be demonstrating these two rare skills during the show. In addition, Charlotte’s collection of Victorian hand made lace will be on display.
Lastly selected quilts, both old and new, from our members’ collections will be displayed. Club members will be on hand to demonstrate traditional and modern quilting methods such as applique and lap quilting Rumor has it that another family legend may be beginning. There are reports that Santa Clause stopped and munched Christmas Eve cookies that were left on the Christmas table runner made by one of the dub members this past year. The quilting legends continue!
