Preschool Coordinator

Supports planning and operation of all County-wide preschool programs. Establish operational guidelines to ensure classrooms are positive learning environments and meet State of VA Child Care licensing standards. Conduct annual evaluations of each program site, recommend changes to improve program development resources Support Community Center Managers with supervision of staff and volunteers, develop plan to recruit and employ qualified teachers, aides and substitutes. Direct work of Staff Development Day Committee to develop coordinate, schedule and execute a series of comprehensive staff training workshops to ensure compliance with the State of Virginia Work with Community Center managers to create preschool program marketing plan to ensure maximum enrollment at each site. Support the Division Manager in preparing annual budget and revenue of approximately $750,000 to operate 100% revenue neutral County-wide preschool program. Bachelor s degree in child-care, early childhood education, recreation or related field with 2 years experience managing or directing an earty childhood education program. Must have at least 1 year of management/administrative experience. Prefer experience at program management level or above, with a private or for profit educational/recreation organization where registration fees supported 100% of the operating expenses Professional Early Childhood Educator and/or Certified Trainer for Earty Childhood Educators preferred. Able to work flexible work schedule, to accommodate occasional night or weekend program function or meeting CPR, First Aid, and T B. test required Valid driver's license required. Criminal History, CPS Registry, and DMV checks required for successful candidate. Position requires 18 annual hours training tn child development and safely.
