On Saturday, May 26, at 8 p.m., Ben Jones returns to the Theatre at Washington, Virginia, for an evening of music .from “The Great American Songbook”. Joining Ben for this performance is the well known jazz pianist Bill Harris, with David Jemigan on bass. This will be the first concert by the Rappahannock Jazz Ensemble which is appropriately named since both Ben and Bill are Rappahannock residents besides being nationally known artists. The concert will be their salute to America’s Great Songwriters. Almost all the tunes to be heard were written in the golden age of the ‘30s and ‘40s.
