Manassas Park
The Panthers started their winning streak with a 4-2 victory over Manassas Park - just three days after the Cougars upended Rappahannock, 9-2.
What a difference three days makes, too. Russell, Jenkins pointed out, could not get out of the first inning against the Cougars in the loss. The second time he made Manassas Park pay, striking out 10 in tossing the complete game. “I don’t think Ethan was that bad there,” Jenkins said. “He just didn’t get a couple calls that he needed early. Then, he comes back with his usual good stuff.”
He also got some offensive help from Czekaj and Jenkins, who each had a pair of hits.”We got our hits at the right time,” Jeff Jenkins added.
