Coffee: Mosby owned the night
On Saturday, May 19, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. the Gray Ghost Interpretive Group will present its Cavaliers, Courage and Coffee: Mosby Owned the Night program at the Rector House in Atoka (4 miles west of Middleburg on Rt. 50). The group is returning from its successful engagement at Brentmoor, the home of Col. John S. Mosby in Warrenton in April. Stories about life in the Mosby Heritage Area during the Civil War are told by costumed interpreters by lantern light at venues throughout the village of Atoka. The Washington Saxophone Quartet, Reg Jackson, soprano sax, James Steele, also sax, Rich Kleinfeldt, tenor sax, Rick Parrell, baritone sax will perform at the Theatre at Washington, Va. on Saturday, May 19, at 8 p. m. Ambassadors host car wash
Laurel and Billy Shaffer are local students, from Amissville, VA, selected as Student Ambassadors with People to People delegations traveling overseas this summer to participate in educational activities and visits. They are hosting a car wash on Saturday, May 19th, from 10 am - 2 pm, at the Tractor Supply in Culpeper (588 Culpeper Town Square). Suggested donation is $5 per vehicle.
