I asked Margery about the honey she uses to make her lavender flavored honey. I was wondering about the availability given the problems we’re hearing about with honey bees all over the country. She said that the local beekeeper she works with hasn’t experienced any problems with Colony Collapse Disorder or CCD. The only problem he’s had is with fending off the bears!
In addition to the herb - products, Margery runs workshops at the form. There are four currently offered including making a lavender wand, creating sachets, one where you create a lavender wreath and one where you make your own Herbes de Provence.

yard sale
Don’t forget the Amissville United Methodist Women will be holding their annual church yard sale rain or shine this Friday, May 18 from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. and Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Come have hot dogs and chib for lunch and grab some bake sale items. The event is indoors and out on Friday and all outdoors on Saturday, weather permitting. All proceeds benefit the women’s community and missions work.
