Horse Country Saddlery in Warrenton will host a booksigning with mystery writer Rita Mae Brown Thursday, Sept 27. Brown’s new book, “The Tell-Tale Horse," takes part partially in Warrenton’s hunt country and at the saddle shop.
Brown, master of the Oak Ridge Hunt south of Charlottesville, counts this her sixth entry in the Jane “Sister" Arnold series.
The event runs 6-9 p.m. Brown will do a pre-party reading starting at 4:45 p.m. Tickets to the pre-party, which include a copy of the book, are $75, with proceeds benefiting the Fauquier SPCA. The later book signing is free, but refreshments will be served, and reservations are requested.
