Family Caregiver Workshops
A series of classes providing hands-on training, information and support to family caregivers wil be held on Thursdays, Oct 18 and 25 and Now. 8 and 15. from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. aft the Washington Fire Hail. Take one or afl four of these workshops which will give you helpful tips on caring for i and disabled family members. Topics wM include handson care, safety preventing and dealing with problems, managing medications, working with doctors and hospitals, finding resources, financial and legal issues, coping with confusion and dementia and caring for the caregiver. Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary win be having their Picking Party on Saturday Oct 13 at the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department aft 6 p.m. Ail biuegrass and country bands are welcome. There will be a 50/50 raffle. The Rre Department Auxiliary will be selling refreshments. School Fal Festival and Yard Sale
The public is invited to Wakefield Country Day School’s Annual Fall Festival on Saturday Oct 13 from 11 am. to 2 p.m. on the school grounds at 1059 Zachary Taylor Highway m Flint Hill. Wakefield classes and clubs will offer food and sponsor booths, games, and activities for all ages to raise money for various projects and field trips. Activities wil include assorted children’s games, a moon bounce, fece painting, and a cake walk. There wi be fall plants for sale, along with assorted baked goods and hot and cold food. Bring your quarters, and prepare to spend several hours enjoying a beautiful foil day in the Shenandoah Valley while aft the same time grvtng to several good causes.
