Come to the Rappahannock Farmers Co-op on Saturday, Oct. 6, to get this year's Lion’s Club apple butter. Nothing beats the start of a fan day but some warm toast topped with apple butter. There wM be local homemade cakes and pies as well as area farmers selling beef. Students from Wakefield County Day School will be on hand with hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Castteton Community Volunteer Fire Company win be setting 911 Reflective Emergency signs from 12-4 p.m. at the Open House at AmissviBe Fire Department on Lee Highway. The cost is $15 and the signs can be made while you wait "If we can’t find you, we can’t help you’ The reflective numbers help emergency vehicles cut down their response time. Hackiey's store will be having their Picking Party on Saturday, Oct 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. All bluegrass and country bands are welcome. There will be a 50/50 raffle.
