Miss Dodson was bom September 26,1920 in Front Royal, daughter of the late Fred William and Sarah Virginia Dodson. She received her formal education at Miss Mary Weaver's School (in Front Royal, VA) and was a graduate of Sperryville High School. She held a Bachelor of Science degree from Madison College and Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia. She taught for Warren County Public Schools, Rappahannock County Public Schools, and Fairfax County Public Schools where she retired as a reading teacher. She was a Southern Baptist and worked in the Washington Baptist Church in Washington, VA, as the Director of Sunday School and as a member of the Nominating Committee and the Rower Committee. Surviving are a sister-in-law Mae Anna Dodson of Winchester, two nephews Fred William Dodson, II and his wife Connie of Armel and John Paul Dodson and his companion Dolores Campbell of Hampstead, NH; two nieces Joan Updike and her husband Lyle, and Susan Greer and her husband Larry all of Kearny, MO, four great-nephews; one great-niece; three great-great-nephews; and five great-great-nieces. She was predeceased by a .sister Elsie Dodson; and two brothers James and Paul Dodson.
