Mrs. L. J. turner spent a week as the houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pharr in Newport News. After leaving there, she spent several days visiting Mr. and Mrs. William S. Dewhirst and family in Richmond, returning home Monday.
Houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller from Sunday evening until Tuesday were Mrs. James M. Settle of Arlington, Mrs. Robert Peterson of Alexandria, Mrs. R. S. Bowersett of Silver Spring, Md., Col. James S. Willis, Jr. and Miss Michelle Willis of West Point. N. Y. While here, Miss Willis and her father visited several colleges in the state.
