The first fall calf and yearling sale sponsored by the Page, Rappahannock & Warren Feeder Cattle Association was held Sept. 19 at the Front Royal Livestock Sales.
There were 46 registered buyers from several states and prices were as follows:
Steen
CHOICE—350-750 lbs. averaged $68.67 per hundred, with 750-1000 lbs. averaging $56.58.
GOOD—averaged $68.65.
MEDIUM — averaged $62.44.
SHORTS — averaged $56.63.
Heifen
CHOICE — averaged $56.40.
GOOD—averaged $54.83.
MEDIUM — averaged $51.36. The next calf and yearling sale at Front Royal Livestock Sales will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. Nominations are being accepted now for this sale.
