Noting that he hadn't yet completed his survey on options available to the Board, Nichols maintained that the School Board could still contract for professional advice if the tests were done at the high school. He volunteered to work with Dr. Bloomer and bring back a recommendation on whether to attempt to use the high school science department to conduct testing on the sand filter system.

“If it’s not too late,” he added, referring to the lack of time before the sewage systems have to meet new SWCB guidelines.

‘‘We should be in a position to comply with the guidelines once the permit is issued,” agreed Bloomer.
