Cony Pickles Sally Sharp Washington 6 large cucumbers peeled (yellow cucumbers can be used) 10 medium onions 2 large red peppers Vi cup salt 1 pint vinegar 1 cup water 4 cups sugar 3 tablespoons mixed oickling spices 2 tablespoons celery salt 1 teaspoon curry powder Slice cucumbers, onions and peppers, thin. Sprinkle with salt and add cold water to cover. Let stand overnight. Drain. Add vinegar, water, sugar, spices tied in loose cheese cloth bag, and celery salt. Heat to boiling. Cook 15 to 30 minutes and then add curry powder. Ladle into hot sterilized jars, seal at once. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
