Janet attended Madison College, now James Madison University, and received her degree in elementary education. While attending college, she belonged to the College Outings Club.
Since beginning her teaching career, Janet has been an active member of the National Education Association and the Virginia Education Association for five years. She’s been in Rappahannock County for a little over a year and sings in a local church choir. Last year, with two other elementary teachers, she began an afternoon basketball program for sixth and seventh graders.
