Sherry Hamil of Flint Hill and Larry Genebach of Amissville have successfully completed the 40 hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Lay Instructor's Course given at the State Rescue College. Blacksburg, Virginia, April 16th through April 18th. The State Rescue College is sponsored by the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads. Inc.
Both Hamil and Genebach had taken a state administered comprehensive Instructor's Pre-test in January of this year and in March were notified they had successfully passed the Pretest, and were among the thirty-two individuals selected statewide to attend the Rescue College Instructor's Course.
Sherry Hamil is an officer with Rappahannock County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company 4, Flint Hilt and has com pleted over 500 hours of in-hospital training in the emergency room at Fauquier Hospital.
Larry Genebach is a member of Fauquier County Volunteer Rescue Company 6, Warrenton, where last year he received an award for having responded to more rescue calls (271) in 1%1 than any other member of that company. He has completed over 3500 hours of
