The Family TeePee offers fast food, carry-out on one side of the building and a full-service dining room complete with salad bar on the other. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
"We started out well with a busy weekend when we opened," Jenkins reported. “We got all the customers from the ball field plus the tourists who were driving through."
With the economy in the shape it's in and no prior restaurant experience, Jenkins acknowledged that he's “taking a long shot” with the family's new business venture. “But there's no competition here because there are no other fast food places in the county...We welcome everybody out and hope they like the food we serve. We'll try to keep everybody satisfied so that they'll make dinner at The Family TeePee a habit."
