The TeePee Restaurant reopened two weeks ago under new management and a revised name and judging by the steady stream of customers that visited The Family TeePee. Sperryville has another successful business.
The new owners are Earl and Alice Jenkins of Ben Venue, both natives of the county. Earl Jenkins has a full-time position in a construction, excavation and grading enterprise, work he plans to continue. “But my wife decided she wanted a job and our two daughters are in high school now so they were starting to think about jobs too," he explained. "We passed the restaurant every Sunday on our way to church in Luray and my wife said, ‘That’s exactly what I need’!”
Jenkins called James Leake at Sperryville Realty about buying the business. "And here we are. My wife and our two daughters have a job plus five or six other county people have gone back to work, too.”
