Thursday, May 6, 1982, will be National Recognition Day for Nurses. The United States Congress has said so in a joint resolution signed by President Reagan, that cites nurses' "significant contributions" and calls for "appropriate programs, ceremonies and activities." The board of directors of the American Nurses’ Association has voted to observe the date under the designation of NATIONAL NURSES' DAY.
