Strawberries, music, dancing, games and crafts will be featured at Piedmont Episcopal Parish’s seventh annual Delaplane Strawberry Festival Sunday, May 30, from 1 to 5 in the meadow and on the streets of Delaplane.
The village is on Route 17 about a mile north of Interstate 66.
There will be a strawberry bake-off contest with a $5 first prize in each of three categories: pies, cakes, and miscellaneous. Fresh strawberry sundaes and shortcakes will be the featured food. Hot dogs, potato chips and soft drinks will be available also.
Old friends meet to chat and reminisce. The nationally renowned Free State Ramblers will provide music for the street dancing.
