“The Shaping of Warren County: A Microcosm of the Nation’s Building" will be the topic of a talk by Rebecca Godd on Tuesday evening. May 11th at 7:30 in the Samuels Library. The early history of the area that became Warren Countv in 1836 will be discussed and compared to the formation of the United States. Topics which will be included are ' the rich ethnic variety of the people who settled the area, the geographical influence on the people, and the political and economic development.
This is the fourth in a series of five talks titled “Warren County Then and Now: 11,000 Years of Changing Lifeways." This program has been organized by the Thunderbird Museum & Archeological Park and is partially funded by a grant from the Virgnia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy.
Mrs. Good is a native of Warren County and has conducted research on local history and genealogy for several years. She is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of
