In keeping with this year's theme, the hospital will offer a free Health Clinic to interested citizens. The clinic will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from noon to 7 p.m. at the hospital. The clinic will include a' weight and blood pressure check, diabetes and breathing tests, and a mouth cancer screen. (Those interested in a diabetes test must bring a small, fresh urine sample.) The hospital is being assisted at the clinic by The American Cancer Society, The VA State Dental Association, and the Culpeper County Health Department. The annual observance of National Hospital Week will begin with the 3rd CMH Benefit Horse Show on May 9th. The all-day event will be held at Meander Farm in Locust Dale, VA. All citizens are invited to be a friend of the hospital and support the show.
Jamboree
The Area Agency on Aging will be sponsoring a Senior Citizen Jamboree Jo honor May as Older Americans Month. The Jamboree will be held on May 27th from 10:30-2:30 at Mountain Run Lake in Culpeper. (Rain date will be M?y 28th).
For Adults
On May 12, 1982. from 7:00-8:30 p.m. representatives from Shepherd, James Madison, George Mason, Mary Baldwin, and Mary Washington will be on the Lord Fairfax Community Ccfllege Campus. The purpose of their visit is to assist adult learners who have job and family responsibilities, making it virtually impossible for them to attend regularly scheduled classes. They will discuss alternatives for obtaining a four-year degree.
