County units and State Police back into Stafford County. There she sideswiped two Stafford police cars, sustained a blow-out in one of her tires and drove a mile on the rim before stopping at the R & S Market. When she was apprehended, police found a knife concealed in her underclothing and two handguns under the seat of her car.
Ashby said that speeds rose to 85 and 90 miles an hour during the chase, and that several officers received minor injuries. They were treated at Mary Washington Hospital and released. The two police cars received about $1,000 in damage. Sisk's older son was returned to Fauquier Hospital for treatment. Sisk was charged with 2 counts of felonious assault with an automobile in addition to reckless driving in Stafford and Fauquier County. She was released on a $2,500 bond.
Ashby said that Sisk told one of the deputies that she was seeking better care for her son who was seriously ill.
